Chisinau, Moldova - 28 April 2007

H.E. the Ambassador Leonidas Chrysanthopoulos, Secretary General of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation, traveled today with the BSEC Caravan from Bucharest to Chisinau. Officials from the Moldovan Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Moldovan Customs officers welcomed the Caravan at the Romanian-Moldovan border crossing point in Leuseni, where the Moldovan press interviewed the caravan’s participants.

The caravan then proceeded to the city center of Chisinau to participate in the welcome ceremony that was held on the Great National Assembly Square. Mr Valeriu Ostalep, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Mr Vasile Ursu, Minister of Transport and Road Management, officials from the BSEC Organisation and representatives from the International Road Transport Union (IRU) took the floor at the ceremony.
